My husband and I share our log cabin with six wonderful mini aussies. I owned my first standard shepherd in the sixties, since then we have had the pleasure of many more. Our cabin is located on two acres in a remote forested area of central New Mexico. We have fenced a quarter of an acre for the dogs to run in. In addition we have a kennel that allows access into the house for the dogs at all times. Our canine kids live indoors and are our constant companions. They are our little shadows that follow us around during the day and sleep at our feet at night. These are dogs full of energy and love. If you are looking for a dog who follows you every place then these guys are just right for you. They are easy to train and are delightful to be around. Aussies have a full double coat that requires weekly grooming. They will shed in the summer months and feel much better with a bath now and then.
